I somehow missed the proper procedure for registering for Secret Santa, but still wanted to participate in some way, so I PM-ed another person who had not joined on, my super-duper glam-to-the-max sweet, lovable friend Vicki (whom I was finally lucky enough to meet for real this October). We shipped each other out our gifts and both opened them up two days ago. And was I pleased! I had already been wanting a bright pop of color in an infinity scarf, and this one from Steve Madden is lovely and full of interesting texture and lightweight yet warm. I wore it out on the cold streets of Boston today and felt great.

I had been doubtful about these Frye boots (slouchy fit, etc.), but now am so glad I kept them! I love the burnished color and, well, they are just a pair of boots that are going to last forever. I wore them and they are warm and comfy and somewhere between dressy and casual (well, dressy for me, anyway). As I had said, I made much smarter purchases this year than last....finally learning!
