WIW: Unique Style & Upcycled Garments

Hi Ladies,

I just happened to be in Melbourne for a few days about a week before Mothers Day in May! Very convenient!!

Anyway I came home with this amazing Upcycled Vest with Shirt and told my boys (Master 18 and DH) that it could be my MD gift .. I know, I am so thoughtful

I bought it from a small label based in Melbourne. Two lovely women who make some amazing clothing. There were so many things I could have come home with but this was the one I couldn't leave without.

It's a preloved vest (waistcoat) with a man's shirt and tie attached to create what can only be described as a bustle. I feel like it has this Edwardian/80's/Punk vibe to it and in the spirit of recent conversations regarding unique style, I thought it would fun to share it with you. I am a little obsessed with it

LOL Jenni, I have been buying mine for quite a few years now lol

I don’t get them every year any more. But I do get a special homemade treat like breakfast in bed or a fancy cheeseboard or dessert.

I tend to have a say in my Mother's Day gifts too - DH and DS are very happy with the arrangement.

@joy the neckpiece is by a Queenland based label called Apartment 5B. Three sisters who make this amazing range of jewellery using all recycled materials. They are quite a statement

The style you have created is looking superb.
I'm also looking for buying some printed men's shirts and wearing them stylishly.
I like the print of this blue shirt a lot.
