WIW: Uber-casual sporty tuck-off

Tuck-off isn't the best term, but I wore this for a really casual weekend day of errands and lunch with my kiddo. ON sporty tee and Citizens skinnies from NAS - I had to size down 2 sizes in these. I don't get sizing at all - I seriously vary from a 2 (Old Navy) to a 10 (Topshop American sizing!).

Anyway, I went with no tuck but wanted to compare looks. Your thoughts? All feedback welcome! (And I wore booties, not my house shoes, of course!)...

Nice! I think both versions work. But I like the non tucked version better. The curved hem of the top plays well with proportions IMO.

The tuck makes your legs look longer, but both versions look good.

I'm still iffy on tucking for myself. I like the look on others, but it does not feel natural on me. I need more practice I guess.

I like it both ways. I think the semi-tuck dresses it up a bit. But when the hemline is curved, I usually opt for not tucking to show it off.

My first impression was I like the semi-tuck better but want to add a belt, but I do like both and your boots!

I prefer the untucked look as it shows the attractive curved hemline of the tee shirt and it does look more effortless. Also I agree with Shevia....the tucked version needs a belt.

This top is SO GREAT for an IT - the sleeves are real and long enough to not be the dreaded cap sleeve. And it's a little swingy trhough the midsection, and sporty without referring to an actual sport. It's on sale at my ON right now!

Great point about the belt for a different look.

And Suz, you are right - they are Hudsons, not Citizens. My bad!

Because of the curved hem I vote untucked, but the semi-tuck looks good too (and even better with a belt. silver?).

I really like this outfit. Super fun, and perfect for the weekend.

I like it untucked best. But tucked looks perfectly fine, too. I just like the extra sport vibe of the untucked, and the curved hem is flattering.

I like both versions. The tee is really cool on you--the sleeve stripe adds so much interest. I think I like the simplicity of the untucked version.
I guess I haven't caught your posts in a while, because it looks like your hair has grown enough to pull back? And do you have new glasses?

I think I need to see it with the booties! I really like the longer leg line the semi-tuck gives, but I can imagine that with heeled booties I might prefer untucked.

I prefer untucked. I am going to make an attempt to explain why, and this is a very subtle issue, that may only be a factor of the lighting in the photograph.

My eyes are pulled right to your face with the untucked version. With the tucked version, the whiskering of the jeans, although subtle, seems to compete with the stripes on the shirt. It keeps my eye moving up and down between the two. I don't focus as much on your face.
