Hi everybody, this is my first WIW post! YLF has been a big part of my style journey in the last couple of years and I've finally summoned the courage to participate. Here are two recent outfits (yesterday and today). I live in the suburbs in SoCal and am a homemaker and homeschooling mom so my days are full and my clothes get a lot of wear and tear. I'm trying to balance a fun and sporty "mom on the go" lifestyle with a more minimalist and modern classic personal style. In the first outfit, my clothing items are more young and sporty but I chose a strong silver cuff and geometric silver earrings plus a more mature lip color to balance it out. I took my kids to the library that day and we ended up being photographed for their promo materials so I'm glad the hair/makeup was in place. We also got last minute free tickets to an Angels game that night so I was all ready to go with my asos baseball tee (currently on sale in various colors!) The second outfit is what I'm currently wearing, Michael Kors dress, complete with pockets and subtle pattern perfect for hiding toddler fingerprints. Sam Edelman flat sandals, aviators and longchamp knockoff tote for errands and to further dress down, hair in low ponytail and a fuchsia lip. I'm planning to wear this dress over the weekend to an informal charity tea with nicer shoes and handbag since I will be sans kids. I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback on styling, specifically from others who have or work with young children or live in hot climates! Layering season is just about over here.
