Here are some of my typical (#1- #6) and not so typical (#7- #12) winter looks.

#1 Denim on denim with flair. I crossed the Simpson Desert recently and this was my uniform. I wore a blue and silver necklace the whole time but eventually it broke. This photo was taken at a mound spring on the way to the desert.

#2 & #3 Jeans, button down, cropped sweater. Very typical go-to outift for me. We took the dawgs for a tootle in the nearby ranges. Border Collie is Shep and LFWD is Fifi.

#4 I like to button the jacket so it fits snugly against my chest. It's warmer that way and the lapels don't get in my way.

#5 & #6 Very typical outfits. I feel ready for any contingencies when I'm wearing jeans and snug tops with my sleeves rolled up.

I've worn 7# to #12 recently for casual afternoons at home or with friends; "recreational" shopping; and a trip to the cinema. You will no doubt see that I have been copy-catting Deborah (thankyou!).

I do like this look for me with a couple of reservations:
1. Volume. Thanks to my conversation with Caro I have realised that volume is something I can only manage for leisure; I can't abide fabric flopping, draping and billowing in front of me when I am doing chores.

2. I have a high chest and a rather militaristic bearing. I think I look somewhat like the Cutty Sark in full sail. Do you agree?

And if so, how can I tone that down, barring slouching which I can't abide and is bad for my dodgy back.

Your comments and suggestions are, as always, welcome and appreciated.

(Oh, and apologies for the grainy pix, a new camera is in the offing very soon!)
