Two looks from this week

1) my eight year old son did not like this look. He said the dress made me look slim and the jacket well..made me look larger.. Husband and 11 yr old son said it was good..I felt pretty good all day actually.

2) excuse the forced grin..had a friend take the pic and felt a little uncomfortable! Is this kind of a sporty lux look? Very comfortable except the neckline on the dress feels too high to me..
And 3 are the shoes I wore.

Love 1! It's sleek and so pretty--a little boho. 2 is graphic and sporty. You look fab in both!

Both outfits look like winners. 1 is more boho leaning. The floaty topper hints at the slender figure underneath. 2 feels more sporty. I can 't see it well enough on my phone, but is it black and navy?

I really like 2; that mod graphic is very cool. And I wasn't so sure it was sporty luxe until I saw those shoes! Nicely done.

Love them both! And from the picture, the kimono style jacket is not enlarging in #1, maybe it's just a styleDS needs to get used to. Does your avatar name refer to "peach"?

I think number one is a bit more "me" but I did enjoy wearing the other one..except for that neckline..kept pulling it down..not like I want to show my chest or anything ;-).. Just feels uncomfortably high for some reason.

No one would ever call me thin but I do prefer not to enlarge my body..I have had the kimono type jacket for a long time and never wore if for exactly that reason. Glad I took the risk !

Joy: just black and white on the dress and the sweater is a couple shades of blue amd white

CocoLion: I am sorry not sure what you mean about the peach?

Hi Momo! I love the first outfit the best. That kimono jacket looks so drape-y and romantic. It really seems to go well on you, and the deeper neckline is very flattering. I see what you mean about the second dress's neckline. I have a sweater that chokes me a bit and it's annoying. Cute dress and jacket, though!

I appreciate the comments. Helps me clarify some things too. I definitely see how number one is more me..I like a little hard edge with something pretty .

I think both look beautiful on you as well. The boots toughen up the soft top in #1 to give it a bit of edge. I find the style of dress in #2 to be very flattering because the lighter stripe at the waist really adds emphasis to the smallness. I have a few similar dresses. Perhaps when you are shopping, you could keep an eye out for a similar style with a slightly lower neckline. It is no fun wearing a piece of clothing that makes you uncomfortable and causes you to tug.

Wow for nr 1! Booties and the fluid jacket makes the LBD shine in a very different way! Nr 2 is great, too, but did ever you tryed to wear the pieces as separates? They could groung a whole lotta other outfits, too! Anyway, YLF, Momo.-).

Dianthus - thank you and I would love to find a dress with a lower neckline and the contrasting waist band. That would be great! I will keep my eye out for one.

Lyn67- I have worn the dress separately but struggle with the sweater..the dress is talbots and the sweater is from that Peter Pilotto for Target line from last year. I actually decided to return it several times and then never did.

My favorite is look 1 - the kimono is great. I can see what you are saying about #2 the neckline looks high.

I did a search for color block dresses and found a ton of them at varying prices. Unfortunately, a few of the prettiest ones were sold out. I really like the green/black and there was a Michael Kors that had the same combo of white/black/cobalt that works so well for you.
