WIW: Turquoise EF dress styled

I wore the turquoise dress to church. It was pretty warm, but not scorching. I wore my charcoal EF sandals, vintage charcoal Coach bag and turquoise and silver necklace my husband gave me. We used to have a small jewelry store in town that sold lots of Native American jewelry. My husband shopped there for gifts for years. I am so sad that they closed during the pandemic. Anyway, I had several necklaces to choose from, but I really like this low key one. In retrospect, I probably should have worn a different bag/sandal combo. Cream, maybe? What do you think?

ETA: please ignore my neck. I am an old lady, and my neck is too.

Great outfit! I really love that dress on you. The shoes and bag work but I can imagine that lighter shoes or sandals or clogs would also be great too. Cream, red, yellow or a nude would be fun!

Lovely necklace and looks wonderful with the dress.
cream color accessories would work well as well as silver, white or navy. I now wear more of my summer clothes with black sandals and a black bag to add sharpness to an outfit. You can tru it and see if you like it.

Great dress and I like it with the grey bag and shoes, although you could go lighter and brighter too. Beautiful necklace and no need to apologize for your neck!

Lovely jewelry - goes well with a dress and shoes/bag combo. I like dark shoes for a more dressy feel but white, cream or navy sounds great too. Pretty look all together!

Irina, thank you. I’m a little jealous of people who can wear black successfully. I’m personally very low contrast, and that was why I chose the charcoal sandals and bag in the first place. I thought the sandals looked wrong, but now I think it was the style, not the color.

Love your dress and accessories. I used to have the same model Coach bag and wish I had kept it. The turquoise dress looks beautiful on you, especially with your light hair.

I like the way you styled it with the charcoal footwear and bag, and the turquoise and silver jewellery. The leather accessories pick up the dark veins in the stone.

Yes - worth trying a lighter or brighter bag/shoe combo (cream would be nice). What other colors do you have? Also, I always automatically associate shiny and patent finishes with summer, but don't know if you have those in your wardrobe.

Catnip, thank you. I really love the old Coach bags. Many of the ones I have I bought at thrift stores, conditioned them. Lately prices have gone up. It seems Coach has reissued some of the original styles at modern prices.

Avicennia, thank you. I thought this size was too small. It fits sort of close around my arms. I think I’m used to wearing the proverbial sweat pants, and not something that fits.

Perfection, Janet! That vintage coach bag is so pretty and cool. What a find. I love that it has silver hardware, which goes so beautifully with this outfit and your jewelry. I like the sandals and bag with this outfit. I can imagine just about any color of bag/footwear color going with this dress, too. You could create so many different moods with it that way. It really is a beautiful blank slate for you.

Thanks for the closeup of your gorgeous jewelry. I can relate to the surprise of seeing my neck in photos--haha! No one else is noticing, I'm sure, and if they are, tough.

Love it! I lost track - is this a smaller size or did you tailor - either way it is just perfect.

Turquoise works so well on you! the jewellery is a great touch and I like the low contrast colour combination on you. Maybe next time you could replace the bag with a patterned one or even a scarf for a pop of colour?
