WIW: Turquoise and white booties

I tried a couple of turquoise pieces together today, mostly to see if they worked together... the EF jeans and JC checked shirt. With some snow and ice still on the ground, I opted for the white booties rather than the turquoise loafers. What do you think? Too springy for early February? Do you think the colors clash? The colors in the photos are pretty true. How about the fit of the jeans? They have a 9-10 inch rise in front but still hit at least 3 inches below my navel. Too low rise?

I'm your biggest fan. This is not one of your best ensembles. I think it is too spring like for February. The colors clashed when I first looked at it, but after a bit, they seemed fine. The rise is really low on you.

Keep experimenting. IF anyone can make it work, you can.

Thank you, Sterling. I must have a weird body when it comes to rises. The colors looks clashing to me too, although not in the closet. I think my turquoise is posed for a good edit.
I also felt strange wearing this springy outfit in what is still winter. It was mostly covered with a white/grey coat.

The colour makes me smile, Joy. If it's a very warm Winter's day - sure you can wear this. But it sounds like snow in your neck of the woods! It needs a white belt and 70 degree weather.

I find the rise low for our current fashion era, so I'm sensitized to that part. What do you think?

I loved this outfit. Springy, yes, but I think the boots make it work for a warm winter day. I don't think the rise is too low.

I’m with Sterling . Colours are great , but this reads April to me , not February . I honestly find the fit of the pants a little off in the rise /crotch area too . The rise really needs to be higher to create a better look with the tucked blouse .

The color is very nice on you, I don’t think the colors clash. The rise does seem low. I can see the outfit maybe with the shirt untucked, jeans rolled and with sneakers in spring.

I agree with others that the combination reads very springy to me, but I think either the jeans or the top could be fab for February in combination with some of your bone/gray winter pieces (maybe a cozy gray sweater with the jeans, untucked to mitigate the rise issue). I do love the booties with turquoise!

Love the color and the white booties but would wear them with non-tucked tops because, yes, just right now they look too low rise. Not sure that non-fashion interested people would notice one bit though.

Ack! I managed to lose my response. I will say that I really appreciate every response and agree that the outfit was not quite right for today.too light and springy.
I need to keep working to find a high rise Jean for my body. This is not it. It feels higher than some but closer to a mid-rise.
Thank you all for your honesty. I need to identify my best turquoise because I really like it for spring/summer, and edit out the pieces that are just ok. I suspect that it needs to be more warm and greenish rather than cool and blue -heavy. Angie, how can you tell a sour turquoise?
The dress in my finds is a bit grayed turquoise and is on its way out as it is also too big and the color is just ok

Jeans look greener in pic than Find. Colours tone nicely after a moment, not at first glance. Booties are great! Jean style... I don't care that much about rises TBH, I wear higher ones for comfort but usually hide the waistband anyway. I'd say depends what you care about. And why not wear springy on a winter's day? ( Sounds like a Simon and Garfunkel song...). It could cheer it up! I don't care ( we're driving Cadillacs in our dreams) x

I like the color, beautiful, and with white boots excellent, but how about to try with untacked shirt. That will solve the problem of low rise. Jeans are great so why to buy new?

I actually like it. I'm not super picky about rises though. Love the boots. It is springy but who says you can't wear springy colors in the winter if you want to?

Jenni, I love your attitude. Mirjana, you are right. I should just wear the shirt out untucked. Robin, I guess the outfit says that spring is coming..
Pansies are blooming under the snow. Robins have returned. Bulbs are poking out of the ground.

I think the turquoises work together, and theres no rule against wearing spring colors in February! Since you asked on the other thread, how about turquoise with olive, yellow, or orchid?

I really like the shirt with these jeans - the colours work nicely together imo and the boots are just super with this outfit. I wouldn’t tuck the shirt but would wear it untucked as the jeans are rather low in the waist. Apart from that - wouldn’t change a thing, a beautiful outfit. Especially perfect when spring will start showing up.

Suntiger, turquoise with olive! Yes! I am sort of wearing that today..I'm a pickle but with an olive, turquoise and white nubby scarf and turquoise stone earrings, caramel booties, bag and belt. With the stores full on Valentine's, I feel like I should be wearing red, white and pink!

These are supposed to be midrise jeans, but not so on me. I may have to sit out the high rise trend and shirt tucking
