Well, not exactly on my Bday, but while celebrating it this weekend. Very simple attire, but I got a lot of compliments. I'm also in a very happy place in my life now.
Talbots bermuda shorts
Talbots braided white belt
Marciano sleeveless draped tee
Cole Haan maryjanes (these actually have been my fave for a very long time, especially because I can walk miles in them without hurting my fussy arthritic feet).
Cheap hemp choker from Claire's (has actually been one of my best jewellery item for summer, I think b/c it has little flowers embedded all around as opposed to only in one spot);
The shorts are very preppy, while the tee is more voluptuous, with its drape and shoulder ornaments. It would have never occurred to me to put those two together, but in my closet the colours jut matched and the two articles pleaded to be worn together. I gave in and was pleasantly surprised, because the drape balances the short's squarreness.
