WIW tunic over pants, new boots

Day 4 of oldies challenge also has newish pewter pants and first wear of boots. Beige "words" tunic 2010 now 29 wears, Portman's striped layering T 2015 28 wears, pewter Sills pants this year 5 wears, Maria Rossi boots first wear, Witchery "Kiwi vest" 2012 (our national bird, looks like its feathers to me but really just faux fur) now 44 wears. I'm not sure if the pants are too "trousery" to wear under this tunic, previously have often worn more skinny ponte pants. What do you think?

Jenni NZ - the tunic is so fun!! I like it, especially with the striped tee!! I do wish the trousers weren’t a little bunchy around the ankles.

The vest is just fun too! Nice!

Fun. Love the pattern mixing, the texture. The trousers are unexpected, but I like them.

Love the kiwi vest on you, it is a beautiful piece and looks great with your tunic.

The tunic and vest are so much fun, paired together. The trousers are fine. Slimmer ponte ones might be a little better, to recede into the background, and really let the tunic and vest stand out.

The print on that tunic is super fun! I like the kiwi vest too, and I’m impressed you have so many wears on it. I have a fur vest too and have to be in just right mood to pull it out.

I can’t make up my mind on the straight-leg pants. I struggle with this look on myself too, so I’ll leave that question to those with a better eye.

Thanks everyone. Don't worry Cardiffgirl, no kiwis were harmed! It's just my name for the vest since it looks like the great spotted kiwi which is a very beautiful bird. Sadly too many get killed by dogs etc but we have strong conservationist efforts going on.
Jussie, I track on paper by having a list and making tally marks. I have been doing it for 2 years next month and the insights are very useful to me.
I'm thinking I may return to the slimmer ponte pants. They are black though, which may not be as good a colour as the pewter, although if I keep wearing the black boots that would look fine. I sometimes wear some brown ballet flats with the outfit and would want to not wear black pants in that case. I don't like mixing brown and black so much for some reason?

Great and fun outfit. Love the tunic on you, the colours and the pattern suit you beautifully. The kiwi vest is so fun with the tunic - you look cool! And really nice pictures too.

I like #1 very much. You look really good in that outfit. The styling (including the pants) is great. In my opinion it would be a pity to hide the fun and charming tunic (and the fab lines) behind the textured vest, which may, however, look fine as part of a different outfit.
