Again. Yesterday I changed twice and then finally got in my PJ's by the time my BF got home (after 11pm). Also, Valentine's Day, again changing twice, the BF saw me for 2 minutes and then said I better change into 'floppies' (our term for loungwear, to flop on the couch in) because we had Taco Bell and I was in white jeans. Got me to wondering the value of wearing my stuff around the house to lift my spirits vs keeping it in better condition by wearing lounge only stuff when it's just me and the cat.
At any rate, today I'm wearing 'real' clothes to lounge in, but kind of B team items. The J Crew skirt I bought last time I was here specifically to get around in the hot weather. I debated purging it over the last few months, as it's much more ethereal than my core look, but now I'm thinking, that's okay. Some days I feel more mother earth new agey, besides, the comfort in the heat can't be denied. The cami is a simple layer piece from Kmart of all places.
Anyway, my rambling comes down to, if no one sees me but the cat, at what point is 'getting dressed' just diminishing returns. I do know that getting dressed in some semblance helps me feel better. As does taking WIW pics, no matter how uninspired. I just have to find that balance I guess. (oh, and that's my Fitbit on my shirt - oops)
No need to comment, just need to get my mojo I think.
