I am most definitely feeling caught between two seasons, but you are all so kind with your comments. You make me feel better.
Bijou, efbgen and. Mirjana thank you. Jewelry is a bit easier for me to get right. Thank you for the comment on my colors.....this will be the first spring I have had light hair. As I pull out my spring clothes, I need to study the colors to see which ones still work with my hair.
Aquamarine #truth. LIving the Bean Life.
Thank you Jussie. When I looked at the picture I thought the column was too dark. I appreciate your comment.
Nancy W you are so right! Some days the sun is so warm we open the windows when we get home, but them after the sun sets I find myself snuggled in my favorite blanket. Just when I think I can take the down blanket off the bed the temps tell me I am wrong.
Thank you Angie. A killer vote makes me take a second look at the outfit. I do like the colors, especially with my lighter hair. I am not sure why the pants seem meh to me. Maybe I have worn them too often this winter.
LaPedestrienne, you are onto something! I will be trying the cardi with other pants....tomato red! Love that idea! I have worn the cardi with dark gray/brown, black and cream pants. I liked all of them. I tried a butter yellow pair of boyfriend jeans with the cardi, but didn’t like the overall look.
Oooo no, cold feet are not worth changing out shoes yet. I tried to wear a pair of Hunter boots to walk the dogs the other day and my feet quickly became cold from the ground up. I had wool socks on but they weren’t warm enough. Winter boots will be on my feet for a while longer.
Thanks JAileen! The striped top is a good weight and I like the pockets. We were wearing red for solidarity and this was the warmest red I had that wasn’t a flannel.
Thank you Rachylou and Smittie!
Thank you Cardiff Girl! The boots are LL Bean boots. They are famous in my part of the country. They are not as warm as my Sorels, but they are great for snow/mud season. Some Bean boot styles have a shearling or a plush lining. I will get a pair of those when it is time to replace these.
Torontogirl, come on down! You will see quite a bit of this style here. If you like these, I get the feeling you will really like some of the Maine summer styles. Mainers are widely known for being casual and down to earth, classic and relaxed, warm hearted and friendly. This is the Vacation State. The beauty and the people keep vacationers coming back year after year.
Joy, thank you! Your comments are so helpful. I found myself reading your suggestions and thinking of similar items I have in my closets. You have given me some inspiration.
