Angie's formula this morning was just what I needed! I really wanted to wear my new BR Martin straight leg trousers (part of the suit), and after reading the blog post this morning, I knew I had to pair it with this new handknit top. It's so new, in fact, that I haven't actually had the chance to block it, so some of the stitches are still a little uneven. I don't think anyone would notice but me though! Paired with my Fluevogs and a big gold cuff.
There is also the possibility that I may end up going to the symphony tonight but I'm not sure, so I needed a "just in case of symphony" version as well. To that end, I figured I would bring a jacket to up the dressy factor just a little. I tried the suit jacket (photo 4) and liked it, but ultimately went with my other black jacket (#3) because I didn't want to crush the suit jacket in my bag all day. I am not wearing the jacket during the day as it's too formal looking for lab and I have my blue trench for outdoors (not pictured) as well.
