I just cracked myself up with my somewhat rhyming WIW title (errr, sorry. I am easily amused by the little things in life)!

Anyway, I've spent most of the last week or so staying within my fallback formula (jeans, moto, boots and cabbie or newsboy hat). This tends to be the case when I get exceptionally busy on the work front. I have less mindshare to give to my creative pursuits so I don't play around with my outfits as much. So yesterday I was in the mood for a bit more experimenting.

Went for a pretty boho look, which is definitely a style I lean towards when not going rocker/grunge. Admittedly, this outfit style-wise and color wise is probably seasonally better suited to Fall but yesterday's weather was quite chilly for my tastes so comfort and warmth-wise it worked really well.

Last time I wore my black leather fringe jacket I intentionally styled it with more modern/edgy elements to tone down the western-wear feeling of it http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ern-jacket.

This time I let it be it's happy boho lovin' self.

I used the colors in the knit tribal patterned body-con skirt to unify the palette and ended up tucking the black v-neck sweater because the combo of longer/hip-butt length jacket with semi longer (hitting at high hip instead of true waist when untucked) sweater was too leg-shortening visually. I also experimented with a bright orange sweater but found that made things too busy with the wine red hat and shoes and black jacket/tights because each were large blocks of solid color.

So this is where I ended up. It's definitely got a lot going on (hat, studded bag, fringe jacket, tribal pattern) but I think the unified color palette helped make it feel less busy overall even with the complexity of the individual elements. I ended up going with a not really "matchy" bag (in terms of color) but definitely one that felt rugged boho and played nice with the rest of the color palette.

So what do you think? Boho ALGO overload or did I achieve maximal-fun-boho style?
