My trench is admittedly a cheapie. It’s a Kohl’s house brand, at least 7 years old, cost less than $60 on sale. I wear it very rarely, to church or funerals when it suits the weather, so to me it’s value is more the utility than the fashion factor.

It has surprisingly nice fit and details for the price point. The lining is heavy satin, with piping trim and backing buttons, plus extra buttons sewn inside. It feels nice to wear and I feel good in it.

Here I’m wearing black crop pants, black penny loafers and a pale pink tee with large scarf for church. I do prefer the look of any coat closed up rather than open.
