Diane G - you are absolutely correct, I do have a few style personas. I feel like I need something cohesive to pull them all together though. I'm hoping that cutting my hair, as my intention is to do pin curls most often, will do just that.
As far as the primer, of course I don't mind sharing! It's actually a different product, meant for something else lol. It's Monistat chafing relief powder gel. It's an old beauty trick used by makeup artists. The gel has dimethicone in it at a fairly high percentage, which is the same ingredient found in most primers. Some primers have other silicones added, or vitamins and what not, so they function as a serum too, but for how cheap this is compared to cosmetic brands, I'll take it!
On my eyes I also use a couple other things if I am creating a highly pigmented look or using bright colors and want them to be vivid:
Dab a teensy bit of white face paint (yes the Halloween kind) all over the lid, patting gently until there is just s thin sheer layer. Don't rub it or try to smear it on, you'll end up with too much. Keeping your eyes half closed so as to prevent creases, give it about 30 seconds to dry and set then dust a bit of cornstarch or mineral powder over them. Apply eye shadow as you normally would. A white eyeliner pencil works for this too, but that gets expensive.
I also make my own mineral powder makeup... Maybe I'll post the recipe sometime
