WIW Today at Work Culottes and Boden top

Dear Fabbers, it has been a long time since I posted, but I have been lurking and commenting when able. It is stunningly hot in London (for me at least, 30 degrees plus).

Our clothing policy is formal for work. The culottes I bought some time back from Karen Millen are fab! Here they are in action today, with a Boden top. The culottes are great, because the fabric is soft and flows. I had them shortened, thanks to advice from the forum and Angie. Thank you! I wear pop sox. The clothing policy requires no bare legs. Amazingly, the culottes can be washed in the machine.

The top, I questioned a few weeks back as to whether to keep. I am so pleased I did, thank you YLF for the encouragement. I love the fabric and the full cover of sleeves. I actually purchased the same top in another colour way too. The other colour way looks better to my eye, but I like the blues etc of this. I hope you like it too. All comments very welcome. How GORGEOUS are you. Killer look on deliciously curvy you. On trend, pretty, polished, chic and professional.

The pattern of that blouse is sublime with your lovely eyes and complexion. Good hack on the culottes, which you wear with the best of them. Very nicely done.

It's not easy dressing for this kind of heat when you're not used to it, isn't it. It's been over 30 degrees in Belgium for the last few days and I thank my lucky stars that I work from home and can dress in a linen tank top and lightweight tube skirt

I did need to go out a few times and have found, like you, that breezy culottes are a wonderful option.
I love the silhouette of the ones you are wearing, and fab that you kept the blouse because it's absolutely stunning on you. Love the colours and pattern, they make your beautiful eyes pop even more. The neckline is very flattering too.

And what are pop sox? I assume nylon knee highs - which I wear all the time too.

Thank you Inge. It isn't easy dressing at all, and really there is limited flexibility in my wardrobe! That said with the weather being what it is, I would think it will change soon!

Yes, pop sox, are knee highs, and they are very useful! I love fish net knee high's especially.

Love love love that Boden top on you. I love it in both colours, actually, though I agree the other version is probably most flattering on you. It's just a perfect pattern for you.

Love your culottes also -- they are more like a flowing skirt.

Skylurker, yes thankfully plenty of air conditioning! It broke down on Monday for a couple of hours, but it is back up and running and a delight!

I wear pop sox too - we call them knee highs. I don't like wearing tights under pants unless it is very cold:)

Hi ledonna, thank you. The hem is split on the seam. Its good detailing as it breaks up the bulk of black when walking. I was concerned that in hacking 4" off the bottom the proportions would be wrong, but it's still good I think.

Thank you Joy. I really like this style of top, anything in a gauzy fabric catches my eye, because I think it takes the hardness off a work suit / outfit.
