Wiw today and felt daggy

It's casual friday here and work drinks and I'm not too happy with my look today because firstly, no one seems to wear boot cuts in the city and secondly I think this top has had its day despite being only one year old. It is getting too loose and baggy and the stripes aren't clean. I wore it a lot this last year. This was my go to spring./autumn outfit but I think this was the swan song. Criticism welcome

Oh, I hate when a FFBO is no longer useful. FWIW, I think you look great. The tomato red with the grey stripes is a fun combination. Is skinnies the preferred jean?

I don't think the bootcuts look bad, but I think the shirt might be done, it looks like it pulls and shows lumps and bumps from your jeans underneath. I would keep an eye out for a new replacement!

Yes, there is that moment when you just know that an item of clothing cannot be resurrected no matter how well you launder, iron or mend it. Vale stripey top, bring on a replacement.
Do you think the bootcuts would till feel daggy with a fresher top? Because I rather like the red jacket paired with them.

I guess the pants are boot cut but not overly flared - I'd totally wear them and think of them as straight! They look good on you, I'd put them in a holding zone if you are not sure ATM.

Well, I think it looks great, but I obviously can't see everything up close. Too bad the top may not be good any longer, because it looks like a great layering piece. Maybe try the outfit idea with some straight-fit jeans and a different striped top.

I think the jeans look classic and a good fit , and would work with maybe a more substantial top or a buttondown, so would keep them around for remixing. I hear you though on going in and seeing NOT bootcuts.
I wish I were better at this myself, but a type of advice I often need is, " I really want to keep working this into my outfits-/ what would make it look most modern? " So maybe other fabbers can help.

Jules because I'm short the jeans are hemmed. So not as flared as normal bootcuts. But not skinnies. I won't get rid of Them but might pack them away for a while. Jenny anne the top was great. Might have to get another! !

Oh, I hate it when wear starts to tell on fave things. I tend to hang on to them anyways. I love my stuff to death.

I like the outfit. The top esp. And I have a jacket like yours in army green. But you shouldn't be like me and hang on. I can be too RATE.

Too bad about the top. I like bootcuts, the modern babyboot kind, as a nice change from skinnies. But I think they look best styled with something kinda modern.

That's too bad, Anne. It's hard to go to an outing with that feeling that you are not at your best. But you look much better than you fear, especially with the topper on! The jeans look just fine (even if they are not what the others are wearing). It's frustrating about the top. Knits can be so unforgiving that way and so short-lived.
