I thought this outfit looked pretty good in the mirror this morning but didn't look at the pics until I got home. I'm not sure what, but something seems off to me. Perhaps it is the proportions or the flatter shoes. Or maybe I just was standing at an awkward angle. Hmmm

Anyway, here it is.

Wow, great jacket!

I think it is the shirt -- it looks too short with the jacket or something. I love all the colours together.

I am going to Echo what Ceit just said: Shirt seems just a tad too short for the jacket (could well be the angle), but otherwise it is a nice combo. Great mix of colors. The jacket is awesome!

I adore that jacket on you and those trousers are great. Great pattern mixing with the top and pants too.

I think Ceit is onto something with the top maybe being a wee bit short and that throwing off the proportions a bit. But honestly, it's not bad at all.

Colours are beautiful together. I love your trousers and your leather jacket is gorgeous.

I don't think the outfit is 'off'. It could be the angle of the pic. You do appear to have very long legs, and possibly the long length of lighter pant, with the dark jacket (which has the effect of making your top appear smaller) could be throwing things off. With the jacket open, and the top under the jacket being lighter, the outfit seems a little more proportional in pic 1 when compared to pic 2.

I noticed a bit of this in your previously posted wedding guest outfit picture, and wonder if your camera placement might be a little low?

You know Carla - you could be right. I know before I figured out my pic spot and camera height, I looked like my legs were disproportionately short.

Thanks Ceit, El Cee and Shannon. Carla, I actually have the camera on top of the breakfast bar which is just at the bottom edge of the boobage so actually higher than I used to have it and I am wearing shoes that are only 1" at the heel. TMI I suspect.

Loving that jacket. I love this from the shoe up, I think this needs a different shoe. Maybe a pointed toe kitten heel.

I like the outfit anyway -- fab jacket! -- but I think the top could be a smidge longer, and pointy toe dark booties like kkards mentioned would help too.

The colors are good but I agree, something seems off. Maybe the shirt needs to be longer to offset the short jacket?

I think the colours are all great (and lovely on you) but Ceit is right -- the top is short. It will work great with one of your skirts, though!

Love the jacket with the animal print top they seem to complement one another nicely. Although I see the blue in the plaid pants I think the edgy contrast isn't there. The pants are doing their own thing and the jacket and top aren't playing along. I think that's what you see that's off on this outfit.

I'll gladly accept both the jacket and top as early Christmas presents No questions asked!

I'm with Day Vies here. The pieces aren't coming together to create a cohesive look. Maybe it's my monitor, but I'm not loving the colors either. The pants are reading a bit brown. Or it could just be the contrast. I love to see the rest of the outfit with jeans.

I like the color palette here. I do think the top, and perhaps the pants, are a tad short. Love every item however, and think you look great!

The top looks a little shirt but otherwise I like it a lot. I wonder if a little semi or faux tuck might do the trick?

None of the proportions are off here! This is an attractive, polished outfit with a bit of tough-cool going on. I like the jacket and it's nice to see some brown as a neutral. The only suggestion I have regards the top, it is romantic whereas the rest of the outfit is menswear inspired so you could try a simple tee or a crisp button up shirt, although perhaps that would make it more predictable. And that might make it more boring and not improve it at all. Not sure I have helped.
