Making a rare winter appearance today is me in a dress with a bare neck. Today’s temperatures were mild, my classroom was at 72 degrees and my schedule did not require I travel between buildings.
I added tights and a jacket, to make sure I would be warm enough. I tried to channel Katerina and wear a brooch. I also tried my tan booties with the outfit to bookend with my hair, but decided I liked my fringed booties a bit better.
What do you think? I have lost a little weight and wonder if the dress looks a bit too big? It didn’t feel uncomfortable and I hope because of the straight style, it wasn’t noticible.
Happiness factors were wearing a dress, not needing a turtleneck or scarf and vintage Bakelite bangles and a coral brooch my grandmother brought back from a visit to Italy in 1968. I remember feeling very grown up to have such a special piece of jewelry.
