Day 9 was another day of layering. During the winter one of my style monikers is “layered”. Adding layers without adding visual weight is a challenge. It is not one that I identified in my goals for 2018, but one I have come to realize as I have begun to take photos of WIW.
Oh, the journey and the discoveries along the way! As I stop to study which colors are working, I will also make note of shape and silhouette. It is not likely that I will jump to replace items that are less than flattering right away. I have a robust winter wardrobe which is highly functional. I do anticipate donating several items after I identify and update my colors.
When it is time to look for replacements I will better informed and more aware of combining layers that meet my needs for warmth without giving me a potato on toothpicks look. I refuse to get discouraged by this. I will learn and do better. In the meantime, I will focus on my happiness factors.
Day 9 was a blend of gray, mixed patterns and mixed metals.
My happiness factors were my jewelry and the plaid vest ( I love the plaid! Upon viewing the pics, the shape does not make me happy, but I hadn’t noticed that when I went out the door....) . I ended up wearing what you see in #7.
I have broad shoulders (literally and figuratively) and appreciate your comments and critiques.
