1/2) DH and I went to a World's Fair themed party at one of the local museums over the weekend. It wasn't required, but suggested dress was from any period relating to the fairs. This dress was the first one I ever bought in the women's section, as opposed to the junior's section, about a decade ago. I don't wear it often, but can't quite bring myself to get rid of it either. The drapey layers always reminded me of a flapper dress, so I added a fascinator and pearls. DH wore a striped waistcoat and fedora and we went from the roaring twenties. And had a lovely time playing carnival games and taking photos by the various backgrounds.
And a bonus outfit pic!
3) This tea-length flouncy JCrew dress is not my usual style at all, but something about the pattern and cut just screamed summer to me. Especially because it's 100% cotton. I wore a vest over it to work but had taken it off by the time of the photo. Is it too cutesy? I think it looks better in person than photos.
Thanks for looking and comments welcome!
