A dear friend got us tickets to go see The HU, a super cool Mongolian rock band, tonight for my birthday (actual day was Saturday). He was unfortunately not able to go, but he sent me the tickets so I could find another companion and go so they wouldn't go to waste. It was an amazing show--maybe the best rock concert I've ever been to!

I ended up buying T-shirts from both The HU and the opening band, The Haunt, to support them... a size down from what I've bought for the last decade, because I've noticed some of my unisex XL T-shirts are getting a little too loose on me. Another exciting proof of progress. And I'm really looking forward to wearing the new band tees this week while I'm dressing more casually while on vacation from work. I opted for tees with simple but bold black and white graphic designs because they suit my style.

I really enjoyed the outfit I wore to the show, too: moon phases tee, black blazer, dark wash bootcut jeans, snakeskin booties, and a leather bracelet with gray metal star studs. I wore a black mask with my mom's subtle blog logo on it as well. My hair is now a bit messy from head banging.
