I was out shopping with a dear friend just before Christmas and saw this gorgeous Alice + Olivia sweater jacket, which I loved but left behind because it felt like too much of a splurge. Lo and behold, my friend whispered in my husband's ear and it showed up under the Christmas tree! Such fun! I took it out for a trip to the car museum yesterday and lo and behold, it coordinated beautifully with the fancy VW Beetle!

I teamed it with a lovely soft red sweater and had planned to wear black jeans, but then I thought about Angie and how she likes to wear dramatic bottoms, so I decided to do a "red out" instead and I was happy with how it turned out! It was pouring down rain so I also added my fun black booties and a beloved Kate Spade black bag.
