I wore this top today because it is potentially on the chopping block. In addition to being cropped and hence, shows some skin, it is polyester which to me means it is comfortable in a narrow range of temperatures. The color is also a bit challenging. I like it, but I haven’t worn it many times.

But then the cashier in the next line over at the CVS drugstore made a point of telling me how much she liked my outfit. . . .With higher waistlines I wonder if this top will become easier to wear? The color is a bit of an outlier for me but I like it.

I like the color on you. I say try it with a higher waist before you make a final decision. The color would look yummy with a chocolate brown if you're tempted to try that as a neutral. I envision it with the Pilcro high-waisted crops with the orange stripe!

Not many people. An wear that shade of yellow but it looks fab on you. Try the top with a high rise bottom. If it still rides up too much and shows skin, it may be time to pass it on. Having to pull a top down all day is just to fussy

The color is great on you, but it is fairly cropped. Would you wear it over a cami that you could tuck in?

It is a great color and one that was on the runways a lot during fashion week, fwiw. The crop and polyester factors are up to you.

The color is gorgeous on you! If the top passes the comfort test, I think wearing it with a higher waist pant, a twirly skirt or a pencil skirt would be wonderful.

the pants you are wearing look pretty high waisted to me, so if you are uncomfortable with the sliver of skin then i say let the top go....

This is a great outfit, I really love this combination on your. I can understand why such a cropped top would be challenging. It really depends upon whether you have other high waisted pants that you will wear this top with.

I have a very long trunk and my back waist length is super long; the waist on high waist pants never hits me too high. This top is not a Petite, but since it is Top Shop maybe it is shorter than a less trendy brand would be? I have a skort with a waistline high enough for a sash that I will try later this week.

It's such an excellent colour for you, I'd be tempted to find an easier-to-wear piece in that same colour. This one strikes me as just a tiny bit too small for comfort.

I like this outfit! But if you don't reach for the top, there must be a reason. Go with your gut on this.

Looks good, great colour, but may be it is something that only needs an occasional outing. Perhaps it is a matter of reconciling that it is okay for it to be only worn occasionally.

Maybe with a layer over top (cardigan or vest) you would feel less exposed.
