WIW : To Resign - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Ladies,

I received my formal job offer this morning, and I met with my current manager and submitted my resignation.

I felt Metalicus was the go for this particular occasion (ok I think it's perfect for most occasions). It is cooling down and our forecast for today was a top of 19, so I got my new Ponte pants out, added my Metalicus Tunic and Metalicus Draped jacket. The pants are a bit long but I have a soft spot for scrunch - looking at the pics I think I will take them up a little as the scrunch is too much yes?

My manager was lovely and quite suprised I was wanting to move on. He is a lovey man and someone I really do enjoy working for, so I will miss him (he has only been with us a few months) but otherwise I don't feel there is a lot I will miss. It's definitely time for change.

Comments, critiques much appreciated. I do realise it's 'more of the same' but it is 'me' lol.

BTW, I finish up my job next Thursday and have a week off (school holidays) before commencing the new role.

Looks great, Deborah! I like the lines with the jacket added in #1. I agree on the pants, take them up a bit. But not too much!

That's the perfect 'resigning in' outfit. Strong, authoritative, no nonsense, but with enough style to say that you're an interesting person and not just a corporate suit. Maybe it's the perfect 'first day' outfit too?
I envy your cooler temps. Still hovering around 30 degrees here.

Wow, Deb, congrats for the new job and all dreaded talks going well!:-) YLF in your drapy blacks (as always) and I surely loved the pictie nr 2. for the rich details. I sometime wonder, how creative a girl has to be as regarding all those layerings and drapings to satisfy her sweet teeth of fashion, but continue to amaze me, day after day!

Congrats. Great outfit - I love the proportions of the jacket, angles and drape. Interesting and flattering. I do have a couple of pairs of pants I wear long but my silhouette is more severe. Because you encorporate such lovely flow into your pieces, I don't think the extra scrunch is needed. Long but slightly less long would be cleaner. Great booties and perfect for the occasion. You need a great bootie for this kind of thing. So glad it went well. Enjoy your break and hope new job is wonderful!

glad it went well. as always, you look fab. love the drapeyness of this. i like scrunch on my pants as well, as you are moving into winter, i'd try this with some winter outfits, and booties, first.

And I don't know that I've ever thought about what to wear to resign, how lovely of you to be so considered and thoughtful. And I agree about hemming the pants just enough so the folds stay at the bottom. Love the look as always. I hope you have some fun planned for the school holidays.

Nice! I also really appreciate the second overexposed picture to better show the details of your outfit. It can be so hard to see details in photographs of black outfits.
