So the other night I met up with some friends to finalize the details for our trip to Las Vegas this weekend. They are my interior designers and my very great friends, I travel with them quite often. We are going to the furniture show to do some buying for their new retail showroom, and of course to do some shopping. And celebrating in advance of my 40th birthday next month.
As they are the two most stylish men I know, I have the opportunity to wear fun clothes when we are together. They are great to shop with as well, as they bring an interior designers' eye to the equation, and they given me some great ideas and inspiration. Really need to start thinking about packing as I leave of Saturday for five days. Will be very happy to leave the -30C temps here.
Anyway, wore this the other night. With a giant parka over top, but I will let you imagine that! I got these camo pants following Angie's camouflage post last week. Certainly not for everybody, and I never really contemplated it for myself until then. But I really loved the pixelated camouflage patten. These are the Rag & Bone Dash slouchy skinny jeans. They are quite cool. I had just put them on for the first time when I took the pics and they loosened up quite a bit more. Definitely more slouch than I'm used to. Might look for a pair in regular denim as well.
Paired with a black Smythe blazer, the one Kate Middleton wore this summer in Canada with the notch in back (and I totally fell in love with it then). Though I doubt she often pairs it with camo, lol. Isabel Marant wedge sneakers and Valentino Rockstud clutch. Would love your feedback! In retrospect I would have left off the necklace, I'm not really a necklace sort of person. Maybe I different shirt too, but wanted to stay fairly casual.
I have not a stitch of makeup in the pic as I changed before I got ready. My paleness is blinding!
