Here is the final outfit that I wore for J's holiday party on Friday. As you can see, I went with the bandeau slip under the dress for modesty reasons; with the black jacket (which I kept on all night), I think the black bandeau looks intentional. My new black pointy kitten heels held up very well to 4+ hours of mostly standing around chatting with people. By the end of the night my bunion was feeling a little pinchy but nothing major. I did wear my tall boots to get around before and after the party as it was cold out, and I swapped shoes at the venue. For accessories I chose my red clutch and a carnelian pendant.
I tried to take a close-up selfie to show my makeup but it ended up looking kind of creepy, sorry! I am actually wearing quite a lot of eye makeup although the picture does not show it very well.
