I am sorry about the whole no show. People just don't see these things as a commitment anymore. I was talking to a mom the other day that had paid per child for a birthday party. One of the other mom's said her son was going. Then the son misbehaved that morning and the mom/visitor punished him by keeping him home...but never told the mom whose party it was. They ended up being late for the event because of waiting for the eventual no show and she paid for a no show. But she didn't know what happened until they ran into each other 6 weeks later. Oi.
I guess our word doesn't mean much anymore.
