I’m so glad everyone likes the trousers the way they are! Less work to not alter them of course. I just don’t trust my eye on fit yet, because I used to compromise on it so much.
MG, you should definitely get a cape! Surprisingly warm & practical too. And I’ll keep an eye out for the book.
Thanks Claire! I haven’t watched the Narnia movies, because I want to keep ‘my’ Narnia from reading the books in my head instead of the movie images. But it’s always so tempting to watch worlds come to life!
Caro, I will try them w my oxfords. I only have 1 really usable pair, but at least they’re grey so should work well!
Aww: thanks Suz. I hadn’t caught up on Angie’s blog, so I popped over to figure out the sparkly sweater reference. It was kismet!
Thank you Firecracker; I love texture, and I love the way you style your clothes, so I really appreciate it.
Diana, I knit my berets w a tight enough brim that they usually behave themselves, but they’re not easy to stuff in a pocket (as most of them took 200 yards of worsted weight & are thus gigantic, lol), so I like that aspect of the beanie. I’m glad it works on me; maybe I just need to adjust to the different look. And I suspect being velvet helps every piece of clothing! hehe
Thank you Astrid; it was my 16th birthday present (my mom’s family had a tradition of giving rings for that birthday) & I’m so relieved it still works with my style so many years later. I will wear the beanie with confidence now, so thanks for that as well!
