I have some extra time sitting on hold with my heathcare provider, as I was rear-ended on my way to work this morning. I was the first hit in a four-car chain reaction, so I'm hoping to get looked at today.

At least I was happy with the outfit. Took lots of time dressing again, but I was happier with the result using the rubric... I seemed able to reject bad ideas a lot faster this way.

Nickel free chain - $1 via swap meet, with Italian charm - 36 euro from Florence

I can walk on my own and did not lose consciousness, so I'm mostly okay. It looks like my medical group has no availability right now (they say this is a popular day), so the best I can do is an after hours urgent care... well, better than nothing, and I've been to that facility before, when I did not have insurance.

The accident was on surface streets, thank goodness, but I definitely feel stiff and sore in the back and neck already. I'm amazed that my car looks almost okay cosmetically, but you can *hear* all kinds of protesting when I drive.

FYI, don't get into an accident on a Friday! No doctors around, and the claims adjuster won't contact me for two business days, so that makes it four actual days...

Oh Rae, how awful! And crazy that you have to wait! I hope you don't stiffen up and end up in lots of pain over the next few days (maybe some serious pain relief this weekend, plus stretching and staying mobile?).

You look fab but what a decidedly UNFAB thing to have happen to you! I've never been in an accident but have had friends get rear-ended and had some problems resulting from it that took a little time to resolve. Make sure you get thoroughly checked out and don't sign any type of waiver till you are completely sure everything is ok.

Damn, rae, I'm so sorry this happened to you. (Is there any truth in Friday the 13th? My cousin had to go to the ER). At least it happened after your trip (feebly trying to make you feel better...)

Cute outfit! So sorry about your accident. That really sucks! I've been rear-ended a couple times (once when I was 9 months pregnant - luckily it was barely more than a tap). Unfortunately you'll probably get more sore as the day and weekend go on I hope you can take it easy and take some painkillers for the soreness.

Rae, I only have a couple of minutes to catch up here... glad you are not seriously injured but remember that neck issues often don't show up immediately (whiplash) nor are they always obvious. Be sure to continue monitoring how you feel over the next few weeks! So thankful you are safe.

And of course, you look fab.

Oh no! Please get checked out by a chiropactor....many injuries dont show up immediately, but are long-term

When I saw your fab outfit, I forgot all about the accident, so let me comment on how great you look! I love the light/bright jacket over all of the dark elements. Really? An Armani jacket for $15? You are a pro! The calf hair bag looks perfect with this. I'm glad you looked good and had on clean underwear for your accident, just like your Momma told yo, lol!.

I hope you at least got a day off of work for this and that someone sees you soon! Please take a hot tub if you can and move gently. Take care of yourself over the weekend!
