WIW to fold some laundry - and a K/R

We had a warm day today, and as I was headed downtown to an exercise class and on a quick round of shopping errands, I wanted to wear pants instead of shorts. I really wanted to wear a blazer or jacket of some sort (to finish my outfit) and pulled out an blazer I bought last week, but I just couldn't decide if it ls a good fit or not, so I went without it.

1) Miki Thumb blouse, AG Nikkis, Paul Green gold metallic sneakers
2) Same outfit (didn't notice that my shirt spread out and exposed my cami until after photo taking) with Olivia Moon linen blazer. I also realized after photo taking that the lapel was turned under

Here are my questions:

1)Is my belt too narrow? All of my other brown and light belts have silver accents and I'm wondering if I should buy a wider belt with warmer metal for warm metallics

2) Is the linen going to end up too rumply and look bad? I'm not going to iron it every time I wear it.

3) What do you think of the fit?

BTW, hair day 3. Flatter and not so cute.

3. Flatter but still cute. I'm not a jacket expert but I love the curved hem and the fit of that jacket. The length looks good to my eye too. (My linen blazer is much blockier and I prefer the cut of yours.)
2. You must make peace with the wrinkle. I don't think linen ever really looks bad. I expect wrinkles with linen.
1. I think it works but I think a metallic belt would take it from fab to stellar!

i'm of the opinion that linen is supposed to wrinkle, so i don't worry to much about it. If the blazer is lined, I've actually found that it doesn't wrinke all that much, and the worst wrinkles will usually hang out. anyway i like the cut of this one. but i'm not sure that i love it with the button down, maybe with the shirt untucked to create a more casual look?

The belt looks fine to me. Blazer looks good too, I wouldn't worry about wrinkling because it's linen and that's what linen does!

I adore your blouse. Is it a Liberty print? It looks very much like Liberty Tresco floral to me which I was drooling over at j crew last year. Do you have details by any chance? Off to google the brand!

I equate linen to being like a broomstick skirt and meant to have wrinkles...
The belt looks fine and this is a great Spring look!

Marmee....You look great. I actually like the belt as it seems to match your hair. But, a metallic belt would give it some fun flair too. I have the same feelings about linen....never quite sure, but it's a lovely, natural fabric, so one must exchange the wrinkles for the coolness factor!

Kkards - I wish this one were lined. It's just a cheapie from POV at Nordstrom, but I'd rather spend less and live with the wrinkles.

Diana - Thanks! The blouse is a Liberty Print. I love it too, although it's a bit big on me. When I walked through JCrew yesterday, a SA complemented me on it. I think she thought it came from JCrew. I don't know if this is Liberty Trace, but I love it. It almost looks like a photographic print up close.

Love the blouse and the hair! I have a love/hate relationship with linen, so I'll leave that one to the others. Wider belt with gold buckle or metallic belt would probably be a smidge better. Off to search for a blouse like yours!

As for linen, yep, it'll wrinkle. Make peace with the crease is something I have heard other fabbers say

I think it all looks great - the linen is supposed to have that casual, rumpled feel and when you do hang it up, you could try my trick and mist the worse wrinkles with plenty of water from a spray bottle to relax the wrinkles (it's very dry here most of the time so things dry very quickly for me). I let it air dry and it's *almost* ironed. ;-).

blouse - extraordinary!! - linen jacket should be a bit mussed and wrinkled - I don't iron my white linen jacket every time I throw it on in the summer - usually only after it comes out of the wash - but I do wash it every 2 or 3 wearings in the summer - I love that mine is machine washable - is yours? - if so then if you snap it straight out of the dryer while still half damp and hang to dry the rest of the way, then sometimes it requires no ironing at all!!

Marmee, I love this and will copying, too. Something's trending here, in that I always love your "shoe" picks. Those are great! As for the belt, I think the narrow one works just fine and I do agree that it's not a bad idea to have several metals to accommodate your tastes. Sometimes a bronze, pewter or deep brass can work on several fronts. As for the linen, you know the phrase: make peace with the crease(s), because the comfort of linen is so high.

Terrific outfit, with or without the jacket! The jacket is really cute, though, and fits you well. Great suggestion about the metallic belt, but I like the brown one a lot. It goes well with your hair, and you don't have to be matchy-matchy necessarily.

Great outfit! Linen is such a great fabric choice today. Belt looks fine, though I vote not brown and more fun like a metallic or even another print 0:) Though that said, I see no reason one of your other belts with non-gold hardware wouldn't work, I think it's fine to mix up those metals. Linen jacket looks good, make peace with the crease!

(And hooray you got that laundry folded after all ^^ )
