WIW to Continuing Ed

This evening I am heading off to a continuing education gig where it will be in the low 60s outside; 10 degrees cooler than where I now. I decided to layer on a cami and nylon stockings and will be taking my fingerless gloves. This will be the first time out for the Kut jacket.

Love this outfit!!!! You have such amazing style. Wish I could steal that dress. I have the same EF harem pants -- so now I need to play in my closet and try them with all my knit dresses. Thanks for the inspiration.

Lovely arty layering! I like it a little better without the jacket because of how wonderfully the dress hem echoes the pants silhouette, but the jacket is sharp looking. Loove the little studded gloves!

You are such an inspiration Donna, and I have to confess that after seeing you in it, I bought the lighter version of that dress/top to go with my harems. It feels so great (soft, drapey/not clingy, sleeves) that I ordered another, because I find this viscose blend pills quickly. Hope you don't mind my copying?

Oh, fun, Ann (dashielle) and Angela! We can be triplets!!! What I find so interesting is that Ann and I are opposite body types. She is of at least medium height (I think), and IIRC an IT with slender hips, legs, and arms. I am 5' 1", am a pearish hourglass and tend to carry my weight in my arms and legs.

I shouldn't have added that extra layer (cami + pantyhose) underneath since I got hot. Oh, well. And I didn't wear my fingerless gloves. But I think I would have been sorry if I'd worn sandals.

Maneera and Una, the necklace is a silver collar from Woodward & Lothrop, a long deceased department store in Washington, DC. I bought it around 35 years ago and I remove the tarnish with toothpaste which I understand is a no-no.

DonnaF I don't see any "weight" on you anywhere! I'm about 5'7" and also a pearish hourglass (since menopause hit with a vengeance!) I used to be a very traditional hourglass but now I also care my weight in my arms and legs. Your style totally inspires me so I'm glad you don't mind copy cats. Imitation is th highest form of flattery!

Thanks Donna, very gracious of you to allow us to lemming along. It's a good thing we don't all live in the same town, no? I'm only 5' 2", and am IT with Apple tendencies at the moment. It just goes to show that certain styles are levelers of body type!

The gloves look very Karl Lagerfeld
#2 is a great look, love dashielle's silver version too.
The jacket is one layer too many for me - I just told Aida the same thing on her last WIW - so it's just me not adjusting to the cropped jacket over tunic look.
It's an awesome jacket, though, love it on you.
