WIW to Church on a Winter's Day

This is my first WIW post - my Church outfit from this morning. It's winter here in South Africa and rather cold, hence the boots and blazer!

The skirt is a chiffon wrap skirt I bought at one of our local Chinese dress stores for a very good price. The necklace I got from ebay and the other items are all from our local stores.

Janet, wrap skirts are pretty "in" in South Africa! You see them all over the place. I love the flowy, feminine feel and look.
You can also pick up or loose a few kilos with no side effects on the fit, which is a bonus!

Hello Frances, and waving to you in wintry South Africa from Seattle in the US, where our summer is about as hot as we typically get! I love the pairing of the flowy, floral skirt with the structured blazer. You do indeed have a beautiful setting at home for photos-these are gorgeous!

Great first WIW! The statement necklace really shines against the simple black backdrop, and brings the floral in the skirt up toward your face. The boots/jacket with flowing skirt is a classic vintage look -- and here you've done it beautifully, with lots of detail, but not a trace of "costume."

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I hope to post more WIW posts, but they will mostly be from weekends. I am a woodworker and painter by profession, so my Monday to Friday outfits consist of my oldest clothing (and I really mean old!) and a paint apron!

Everything seems very well fitted, and I love the boots. Those boots are very similar to a pair that I have that are my favorites.

Francis, that is an excellent classy cute outfit that is perfect for church!!!

I like how you pieced it all together. The blazer and high heeled boots give it that distinct dressy look and the flowery dress adds a cute fun factor to the outfit.
