Life is a little hectic now, and I forget to photograph my outfits, which I must say I have been enjoying this summer. My choices have been making me rethink my summer wardrobe, but perhaps I’ll formulate a more thoughtful post on that if I get time this week.

This was my outfit yesterday for a belated birthday celebration brunch (a wonderful indulgent meal of crab eggs Benedict!) and a walk with my friends around downtown Annapolis. It warmed up a bit but I was comfortable in my linen pants and chambray top. Light in the pic is not good but you get the idea.

I wore my olive slides from a great little shop in Bonnieux, France and my sorta-coordinating olive-sage green bag from the same store. I like the unexpected pairing of olive and turquoise that I’ve discovered this summer. I think I may need more turquoise tops in my life — I get compliments whenever I wear it and it is one of my favorite summer colors.

Second pic is an inexpensive but pretty Celtic pendant I bought yesterday (my friend bought one too!), which I thought was really nice with the ring she got me for my birthday!

Third and fourth pics are finds I liked while we browsed the stores — an adorable burgundy wool hat in a really flattering asymmetrical style, and these cute plaid sneakers. I did not buy, but they sure are tempting!
