This past weekend, we attended a wedding at the Boston Public Library. It was an amazing venue for a wedding! The ceremony was in the courtyard, and the reception was in the main reading room. Really magical. There are some random snaps from the wedding mixed in with the WIW photos.
I wore my Allsaints black broderie anglaise wrap dress with a fancy hat (that my husband bought for me last time he was in the UK) and a handknit lace wrap. The shoes are flat patent sandals - I made a few halfhearted attempts to acquire dressier shoes but wasn't really in the mood (and was too busy) to order and return a lot of options, so in the end I wore an old pair (and mended some scuffs with sharpie!). Honestly when you're wearing an extremely eye-catching large accessory like the hat nobody notices the shoes! I was kind of surprised that I was the only person wearing a Wedding Hat and it was a big hit. (There were a lot of people from all over the world at the wedding including several from the UK.)
Thank you to those who weighed in about the accessories in my other post. If you didn't see there, I ultimately chose the floral clutch as it was the overwhelming favorite and ties together all the different shades of red. I also wore an assortment of rings, a big vintage silver bracelet, and a carnelian pendant.
The last 3 photos are from the welcome cocktail reception the previous night. LBD, lace print jacket, silver/turquoise wedges, turquoise clutch, and long silver and pearl necklace.
