Ok…let me explain…I know I was going to sell the skirt on eBay due to the ill fit and sticking-to-tights issue…BUT…I couldn't get this skirt out of my head. I absolutely LOVE the bold broken circles and the black/cream combination. So I took it to Wonder Woman last week and for $12 she: took in the waist, shortened the skirt by 3.5 inches, closed the kick pleat and tapered the bottom. She also stitched in 2 inch wide pieces of silk ribbon every 4 inches on the inside of the fabric lining which gives the skirt "slippery-ness" and voila - no more sticking to tights in winter (she suggested this as she has done it before). I could not be more thrilled - picked it up last night and had to join Team Wear!
So I've paired this bold, graphic skirt with my dark red tank and topped it with my black suit blazer. For footwear, I went with my pointy toe kitten heels. I have two corporate meetings this afternoon that warrant a more conservative and business professional outfit. For a bolder, fun look I would swap the blazer for a leather jacket and the kitten heels for my Docs.
For accessories, I chose my black/dark red handbag, silver bracelet and wedding ring, red specs and red lip.
So what do you think? Have I saved the skirt and can you forgive me? What are your thoughts on the outfit? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

LINING UPDATE: Well the ribbon lining is driving me NUTS so far this morning It's scratching the bare part of my legs and is causing the lining to twist a bit when I walk. So great idea but isn't working for me. I'll just take the skirt back to WW to remove the ribbon strips. I adore the fit of the skirt though so still thrilled with it. I'll just figure something else out for wearing it with tights - now that I like the fit and know I'll wear it, I may just have WW take out the fabric relining and re-line the skirt with proper slip lining. No biggie.
