WIW: thrifted jacket, gradient striped tube skirt, subtle patterned tights

Preface: I don't think I like this outfit. The proportions seem all wrong... The jacket is very roomy, and would probably have been better worn with skinny pants. But I just wore some yesterday and really thought that the skirt and jacket would be a great combo of patterns so... Anyway, this is it:

Structured classic shape blazer, grey and blue herring bone, tweed maybe? Not sure
Cobalt blue and black gradient striped tube skirt
Short sleeve turtle neck with gather at the collar
Black tights with patterned fish nets over top
Classic pointy toe slingback pumps (my only black pair, I really need something better)
A pop of hot pink lips, winged eyeliner, hair pulled up on the sides semi-vintage-ish style

I kept the jacket on most the day (so far) but have taken it off a couple times. Can't decide if it should stay buttoned or not.

I'm not quite sure what it is, but the blazer isn't my favourite on you. Somehow it seems oversized/too low a stance/not feminine enough with that outfit. You know, like you borrowed a guy's sports jacket. Can you take in the sides of the blazer?

I agree with Alasse. You may want to wear a shorter jacket to balance out the rest of the outfit. I do like the longer jacket but I think it would look much better with skinny jeans/pants and heels. (btw, I love a good vintage tweed but it has to be a right cut/design/fit).

I think the jacket could be fine combined with more casual items like jeans, or corduroys, or even just things that are not as contrasting but with this outfit a darker jacket in a sleeker fabric would be better. And yes, more fitted, because your figure is excellent. So excellent, it wouldn't hurt to get the jacket tailored even if you're going to wear it with casual clothes.

Firstly I love your hair, and I really like the outfit without the jacket. The skirt tights and blouse are all great together.

The jacket I think would be great with trousers as is, probably slim or skinny fit, or even classic work trousers.

Well I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I absolutely love the blazer on you! It's got a bit of a "boyfriend" vibe to it that I think works in juxtaposition with the feminine fitted skirt. However, I would try scrunching the sleeves to add some "skin structure" and leave it unbuttoned to allow the column of darker color to show through.

The pattern mixing is fab in this outfit
