One of those mornings. When you want to roll over and go back to sleep, and wake up to find it was all just a dream.
No luck with the falling asleep again. The fault in the power lines that woke me up in a lather at 6am refused to get sorted out. So no internet action. While facing down an overdue deadline. No air-conditioning, no fan, no lights, no functional fridge. At least it's a 'cool' day for a Delhi summer, after several showers of rain last week -- only 99 degrees this afternoon, and slightly cloudy.
Figured I'd get more done at the Arctic Office. Figured after sweating from dawn to noon, even the car's semi-functional AC would feel cool enough for a light jacket.
So dressed in the dark, pretty literally, in old hand-me-down maxi skirt, this season's top, and new lightweight topper (making inroads into August budget: must stop living a month into the financial future!). ALL of them florals. All different colours.
Not satisfied, added a baroque belt buckle, animal-print shoes and woven palm-leaf tote. Left off jewellery. Excess, I daresay, is plenty enough.
What else would you leave out? Or change out, if you were me?
