Thanks, Bonnie. We have a national parks pass, and are lucky to have so many of them close to us, although this is the only one in day hike range.
Beth Ann, even if they did, you want the bears to know you're there! I've actually never had a close encounter with one, although we did see several black bears and a grizzly when we were in Yellowstone a couple summers ago... all from a safe distance!
Also, I know what you mean about the boho tops that fit like nighties. I love the fit of this one, but I also know it probably won't last beyond the season. You can already see the wear.
alaskagirl, yay for being cleared to hike! I feel your pain on that. I had a bout with sciatica this spring and I was really worried I wouldn't be able to do any hiking at all this season. Thankfully, it passed, because it felt like my summer would be completely lost! Hiking/camping IS summer to me.
Brooklyn, "earthy urban" definitely works for your style too! I think Colorado and parts of Australia actually have quite a bit in common in terms of lifestyle and fashion.
Maneera, you know, I think the pants thing might have to do with humidity. When it's in the 90s and 100s here (and even the 80s), we're only at 20-30% humidity. Clothing just doesn't stick to you the same way it does in more humid locales. I still would never wear leggings or skinny jeans in this weather. I'd rather have some air space between my clothes and skin.
skylurker, the sky really was that color, too! And not a single cloud. Pretty amazing.
Thank you, JAileen, Vildy, StyleFan, and Anna!
