Yesterday, when I thought it would be cool out, and kind of was for 7 am carpool, I wore the ubiquitous Emerson Fry white mick jeans and a bone cotton sweater with lace tail that I bought at Urban Outfitters while school shopping with my daughter. The SA thought it was for her, so hope I have not skewed too young here. Anyway, this outfit only lasted until it got hot out and needed to go for a run.
Well, this WIW is just two of four outfits in the last two days. There was a second, which was the same thing (tee and red print skirt) I wore for the 4th of July but I got caught in a thunderstorm and was wading through puddles in my nice gold loafers. No photo op! And then a third, because I was not willing to get all fancy again, that was an old Eileen Fisher linen tee and some J Crew Andie shorts.
And today I decided to wear my black Eileen Fisher silk vest, which is like the one Joy was mulling in bone. I think this outfit ended up too drapey around the hips because of also wearing pleated shorts, and would have looked better with skinny black pants.
