Saturday for a walk in the park, tried some Western influence (neckerchief bandanna thing, soft fringed suede boots, denim shirt). The outfit felt fine although the size of the neck scarf felt weird- I’m used to much bigger scarves. These little ones I normally wrap around my head. Anyway it felt fine but hubs took this picture and WHOA! It looks TERRIBLE. I guess this is what happens when you try new things: sometimes you look like a crazy lady. I’m still not quite sure what went wrong here so any gentle feedback would be helpful.

Sunday for lunch with friends: a sheer top that belonged to my mom, denim overalls, cutout oxfords, fun sheer socks (!!!), brown long cardigan, olive purse that I love but rarely use (wrong size for usual needs). For earrings I wanted something vaguely Victorian, and I don’t have much that is “ornate”, but dug out these old earrings bought on honeymoon in Portugal. Gold plating is rubbing off / tarnishing but I think that’s ok with this aesthetic. I may be veering too much into 90s witchy goth kid territory here- I feel so comfy in the 90s I fear I may go overboard. I told my hubs I was trying to make the blouse “not too grandma” and he said “adding the overalls is like adding grandpa to the mix.” Hmmm.

Thoughts? What do you think of the SOCKS???
