WIW this week to work - channeling a Benetton Ad

Monday - I channeled a Benetton ad - red, pink and Brown tights with leopard Dansko's - it was a fun outfit to wear - Happiness factor high

Tuesday - Execution of the outfit didn't match what I envisioned - The pants are maroon, tan and navy - with a Navy sweater and Black jacket. Happiness factor Meh - something is off with the outfit

Wednesday - One of my favorite outfits black leggings, asymmetrical black tunic top with a gray topper - Happiness factor high

Thursday - Dress - kinda a disaster for work - For work I have to wear a walkie and a chirp (touch to talk) and had no place for either - so I kept misplacing both all day and dropped my chirp a least a dozen time. And now you know why I almost always have a topper on. Will have to see how this dress works with a topper because I do enjoy wearing it to work.

Friday - Black leggings, My NAS aquatalia sweetie boots, topper and warm scarf for a cold rainy day - Happiness factor extremely high - This is basically a repeat look and I love it. It could easily just become my Friday uniform.

All feedback welcomed. Not my most cohesive work week, but trying to have some fun with color.

The colors in #1 are fun and fab on you, they make me feel happy too! The brown is a bit unexpected and adds a nice softness to the brights. I can't quite make out the details in #2, but my hunch is that you'd be happier with a lighter top to wear under the blazer so you've got a more singular column of color. Adore #3 on you, I can definitely see why it's a fave. The hair scarf is fun, too ^^ I think the dress in #4 could work with a cropped topper, or perhaps even a little vest. #5 is a great little casual look. You could also try letting the scarf a bit looser to add a little "oh this? I just threw this on" ease. Nice week!

Frannieb, I love your smile. And I love you in those vivid tones of #1. No wonder you had a high happiness factor.

I can't make out the details of 2 (darn dark colours are so hard to photograph!) but I wonder if something was a bit uncomfortable. Usually when I can't pinpoint a reason for my dislike of an outfit, it comes down to that.

You look terrific in the asymmetrical neckline of #3 and I knew right away this one must be a favourite.

That sounds really frustrating about the dress in 4 and work - the colour's gorgeous and I know you also really like wearing dresses at work. I wonder if there is another potential solution that would allow you to to without a topper sometimes if you wanted to? Like a small crossbody clutch with your walking and chirp in it?

I may just have to copy #5 -- I have the boots for it!

No wonder that could become your Friday uniform - it is perfect on you! I must say I love seeing you in those bright colours! They are so happy :). Too bad about losing your chirps - that turquoise dress is stunning.

You look wonderful in color as in 1, 4, and your scarf in 5. 3 is fab on you. I hope that some of the ideas for wearing your dress for work will work out. It is beautiful and needs to be in regular rotation. Great week.

Gosh, these are all great! I wonder if what's off in #2 is lack of color? Maybe switch the top to a colored one, or any of the pieces, really?
I have an idea for making the dress work-friendly: instead of a topper, could you wear a little cross-body bag? Just a tiny clutch style, with a strap? (Maybe something like this.) I just love the dress alone on you and finding the right topper could be difficult.
Your asymmetric outfit is superb, and so is your "Friday uniform." Nicely done all around!

Suz you will love love love the boots - they are crazy comfy. I don't look good with pants tucked in so did the roll with skinny jeans to show them off and ended up loving the look.

Suz and firecracker - you both give great solutions. I am going to the thrift store to try and find a small crossbody bag/ clutch I could wear to work for my dresses without pockets that don't look good with a belt or topper.
