I've had this skirt forever. I think that my aunt may have made it (in the 70s) but I'm not entirely sure. It has always been affectionately known as "the ugliest skirt in the world", because, well, let's face it -- it's an ankle length sweater skirt with a loud red and yellow check pattern on it. But I like it because it amuses me, and it is warm and comfy.

I never know quite what to wear with it. Something as plain as possible, but somehow it always looks a bit strange. Today I had on a long sleeved grey t-shirt with a plain black v-neck sweater on top, and a pewter bangle with some Northwest Coast style eagle motifs, plus some funky grey leather boots. I had a red pashmina around my neck most of the day but I forgot to put it on for the photo! oops.

Anyway I suppose this is an example of my, uh, "eclectic" side.
