WIW: the last two pairs of boots

So I challenged myself to wear all of my non-gear boots, and these are the last two pairs.

1: Worn on Wednesday. I think I was a little cognac-ed out after last winter, so this is the first time this season I've pulled out these cognac Miz Mooz boots. I think the break was good but I'm ready to get back into my relationship with cognac. Worn with skinnies, a print blouse, and a chunky handknit cardigan. This cardi is a little troublesome - I prefer the look open but it tends to fall off my shoulders when it's not buttoned, plus it's annoying to stuff into my coat sleeves.

2-4: Worn today (Friday). The last pair of boots in my rotation are my recently acquired Everybody Galla dressy booties. I went for a slightly boyfriendy look with simple lines with a longer, slightly slouchy blazer, straight leg jeans, and white top. Bonus shots with my new handknit cowl, which only got worn outdoors w/ my coat.

Those cognac boots definitely deserve to be worn, and I love your blue jacket and the cowl!

I like both of these outfits,. The cognac boots are fun with that jacket -- there's almost an Edwardian air about it. And the cobalt jacket is lovely. Plus it's nice with the simpler black booties to keep the attention up at your face with the cowl.

Man, I can hardly get over your knits to look down! Love the red tape and buttons with your cardigan, so more's the pity that it's got a higher fuss factor And the cowl is awesome --- I'm loving the trendy black-cream-cobalt palette of that outfit and the sharp blazer with the soft frothy 'collar' too.

However, back to boots --- very glad you're planning to see the cognac again, because I love seeing these on you. It's fun to drool over all the kickass boots, and then have something so beautifully feminine, sans frills, to admire. This is the kind of boot that doesn't contrast with the femininity of a dress or skirt so much as it plays it up, and it adds the 'girly' to good old jeans.

And dressy black booties can do no wrong, anytime, anywhere! I was just looking at your cocktail dress thread --- didn't comment there, but am surprised how well they work.
