WIW: The festive challenge, a couple of ways

I like wearing subtly festive clothes.

Outfit 1: I was wearing regular hanging around the house clothes (jeans and a grey LS tee) when I realized I needed to go out. I added navy booties, navy peacoat, navy bag, and a thrifted Stewart plaid scarf.

Outfit 2: I thrifted this faux shearling jacket. I love the pattern. It reminds me of the PNW. I’m wearing black wide leg pants, black cashmere sweater, silver distressed booties, and handknit socks. I’m not sure why I look so grim in this outfit. Wearing black is not my thing, so maybe that’s why.

Angie, thank you! I had to wear silver because I don’t have any black booties. I might be the only person that doesn’t. Anyway, it was in the 20s this morning. The jacket is super warm.

JAileen, what a gorgeous thrifted jacket, you have a great eye for the most fabulous pieces. Yes, it is unusual to see you in black, but I like it in this outfit. Lovely boots and the socks - wow, smashing. Can you wear the socks like this with 3/4 lenght trousers? They would deserve some attention.

Navy is your best neutral. You look stunning in that tartan scarf and peacoat. The red sherpa jacket is gorgeous as well. Fab festive outfits!

Kelly, thank you. I do love wearing navy, and I love this peacoat. It replaced two ill fitting thrifted ones.

Lisa, thank you. I just noticed the tag says Robert Kitchen, Canada. I’ve never heard of the brand before, but it’s a very nice quality jacket. Several people insisted it’s reversible because it has buttons on both sides, but it has tags sewn on the furry side so I don’t think so.
