WIW: the devil's in the details

I was out of town all weekend so Monday morning was a rush and I threw on this top I bought over the weekend with the first thing that seemed like it would work. When I got home that evening I added a belt and then the Mural jacket just to see and I think they make a big difference. Tell me what you think.
#1 - What I actually wore - bright pink BR Outlet knit top sized up, grey LOFT trousers that I hope have been saved from PPL purgatory by wearing these super flat SE python booties.
#2 - addition of white belt. It looks much better to me this way.
#3 - addition of Mural jacket - is there any outfit that this jacket doesn't elevate?

Wow, what an instructive post! The difference in polish is amazing. The outfit is fine in #1, but it's a real OUTFIT in the last two photos. And you look amazing in that colour, and in the Mural jacket!

Yep, you are so right that one little belt can make a world of difference. Then the jacket to finish the look off right. They're all clean, geometric lines and solid colors that harmonize well, so it all meshes together great.

The belt takes the outfit to the next level, and the jacket takes it over the moon! I love the Mural bomber - mine has gotten a lot of wear.

Well done! I think photo 2 demonstrates Wed. Blog post on bookending. I hardly noticed the bootie in #1 and then they pop out in #2.

Brilliant! This is one of those things that you can know in your mind, but when you SEE it, it is amazing. The difference between 1 (perfectly okay) and 3 (fan-tas-tic!) is incredible.

I think the outfit with the jacket looks great! You looked fine in #1, don't get me wrong, but the jacket and belt really do elevate it. The pant length looks fine with the flat shoes.

Beautiful outift! I think they often call the third piece a "completer" piece. The jacket definitely completes the look. The color of the top, however, gives light to your face and adds visual energy.
