Though, I think we might actually be in actual Fall as temps have been in the low single digits for the past few days--with sleet and rain.

Anyway, as promised, the last 5 outfits:

#1 I wore to the Pennington's evening sale. It is my white cotton turtleneck from years and years ago. It is stained--I am going to see if I can remove them. It is 100% cotton and warm--but a bit bulky. It is also short by today's standards. Also wearing my NYDJ jeans and fab flannel plaid shirt as a topper.

#2. Inspired by Transcona Shannon.

#3 New top and leggings from Pennington's sale. Worn out on Cheescake date with hubby. High Happiness factor.

#4 Previously posted as an ensemble. Worn for errand day.

#5 Housecleaning day. ON re-order came in and I popped on this sweater over leggings. Let's call this my curvy Audrey outfit.

All comments--especially ones to help me look better, welcome!

I am a bit concerned that the outfit in #5 may not be appropriate for leaving the house? The back of the shirt kept riding up over my backside--and that's really not for public view in leggings. What do you think?

LOVED #2. The colors, the necklace, the proportions. #4 is my second favourite, love the jean jacket with the red blouse.

I don't think #5 is bad for outside as long as the fabric of the leggings is thick enough. You can wear black skinny jeans instead if you don't feel happy with the leggins.

Oooh, I love your new pieces! These are all great outfits, esp #2 and 4.

Number 5 looks good here, but if it's riding up, you might feel more confident with a longer top or different bottoms.

You look fabulous in your outfits. My favourite is #3 but the others are equally fab.
Reg #5 I wouldn't wear leggings with a top of that height . For me leggings are leggings, but a skinny jean would very good with that top.

Love you in #3 - and re the shirt over leggings in the last pic: if you had to pop out, just throw and longer draped cardi or anorak on top, no?

Thank you Vivian--it was fun to put on a sparkly top (that grey is a sort of metallic looking thread) and go out with hubs. We hadn't done that in a long time.
Dixie--thank you! Surpisingly, I liked the lower contrast of the grey with the white, instead of summer's more vibrant black and white. Yes, skinny jeans would be a help. I have thicker knit trousers for winter.
Zibbets, thank you! Except for the denim jacket (which I didn't wear that much) and the white jeans, pretty much everything is new.

Totally love #3. Great outfit on you and terrific silhouette, too. I like the others, too. #5 looks great from this end!

Looking good Alana! For #5, I'd say you need a pair of ponte pants instead of leggings. That way you've got the more substantial fabric but still the legging vibe (plus it'll be a lot warmer). #3 is my favorite, and #4 is a slam dunk as well. #2 looks good, and once you get your booties sorted would also look great with those. For #1 there are a couple of things. The turtleneck under the plaid shirt is tricky; I think it needs some really modern element added so that it's got that "purposely fashion" look to it. So I think that outfit would work better either 1) without the turtleneck (so just the plaid shirt and white jeans) or 2) with trendier footwear.

Thank you, Aida. That is exactly the sort of feedback I am looking for. After I'd been in the dressing room, I didn't put the turtleneck back on. And I have a ponte knit pant so we're sorted with respect to #5, too.
Thanks, Suz! I am glad you like #3. I am thinking of getting a denim pencil to wear with it--make it look a little less formal?

My favorites are #1 and #2. I like the plaid topper in one, and the monotone look in two.
Where do you live, anyway, the North Pole? We're expected to be in the 90s this weekend, and I'm in shorts right now (7 pm).

It is 5 degrees Celcius (40F) and it is 8:20pm.
I am in a sweater and jeans and socks and shoes and my hands are cold.

3 is my fave. The contrasting front is very slimming and the overall silhouette is modern.

I think my fave of your wiws.

Try the plaid shirt instead of the red shirt in 4, topped with the jean jacket. No turtle.

#3, #4 and #5 are terrific! I don't love the turtle neck, shirt combination or half buttoned cardigan in general.

#2: love how you accessorized the neckline with a statement necklace!
#3: my absolute fave in the bunch and it shows! The silhouette is fabulous on you! You wear long over lean very well. Grey and black combo also looks great on you. Definitely a neutral combo for your skintone!
#4: loving the red and blue denim combo!

shevia--would you prefer to see the cardigan either buttoned all the way or unbuttoned--is the partial buttoning the thing that irks?

MsKatieKat--thank you. I didwonderif the necklace might be a touch algo. You give me confidence! I wish I had more tops with the length of #3. I could happily live in those all winter.

I'm joining the bandwagon on #3 and #4. But I also really like the palette of #1 and the way it brightens up your face. And agree totally with Aida's comments on how you could tweak it.
