I really loved Vix's WIW last week! It made me reeeeeally want to try waxed jeans.
But the reality is:
a. I have more clothes than I know what to do with already, and
b. I almost never wear jeans.
But her outfit stayed in my mind, and I remembered these Victoria Beckham DvB jeans that I bought years ago. They have been on the chopping block for a long time now, but managed to elude being cut. I tried to sell them on eBay - no takers. I took them to the consignment shop, and the girl pointed to the two full circular racks of consigned premium jeans that nobody is buying. (What's up with that??)
Anyway, I dug them out of the donations bag, and put them on today. I wore them with a wet-look top I bought at Armani Exchange last month, plus an old silver chain, and I had a lot of fun! I added a leather jacket/top over it, because the temperature is supposed to drop shortly, and my cadet cap that I pretty much wear everywhere. With my hair up (as I wore it this morning), I felt like the Terminator T-X (the female terminator) in Terminator 3
If I keep these jeans, I am going to have them shortened only a little, because I like the slightly-too-long Nini Nguyen look. We'll see. This wouldn't be the first closet orphan I waxed rhapsodic about, only to shove it back in the orphanage after one final wear
