I think we're all loving Angie's Summer outfit formula and today I wore my new Tilly's VMI tapered denim bermudas. The other photos show a pair of very old black Express bermudas. We've had some wonderful weather here over the past few days, so I'm enjoying it and don't often even think of wearing shorts. Yet, it was Angie's formula that did the trick. Plus, I'm on Team Wear! A little shot of "nature" in the last photo! Comments always welcome.
#1-5 RL white woven dress shirt with crest (old), Tilly's denim bermudas (bought two days ago on sale), animal print Mossimo flats (Target), J. Crew straw bag , Jessica Simpson straw hat (T J Maxx)
#6 AE citron top and black denim capris, hand-assembled scarf (tee with ribbon)
#7 Equipment shirt that will also be worn with Tilly's denim
#8-12 AE citron top, hand-assembled scarf, black Express capris (gold sandals or black loafers...I opted for the loafers even though we were in Palm Desert for the weekend) and close-up of animal print belt (Fabulous Furs)
#13 Bonus shot: What I wore to get my hair highlighted...a pre-YLF look, but still a fun one, for me, at least! Sage green/pink shrug, cream cotton dress, brown boots, bronze "plastic" necklace
#14 Best Shot of All: Check out the little hummingbird's nest with two eggs that's situated in the courtyard near the front door.
Note on the scarf: I wanted something to cover my neck up a bit and there were no citron scarves at AE, soooooo I bought a printed tee, went to Joann's Fabrics and bought some accent ribbon and tied the tee with the ribbon and flung it over my neck. This past weekend, when I wore it in West Hollywood at La Conversation on Doheny, for breakfast, the woman waiting on us commented on it and gave me a compliment and I told her what I did. Any day is a good day when a young person comments about a fashion item I'm wearing. I felt so good and was happy to share my silly, somewhat wacky creativity.
